Senior Funds Analyst

About the role

An established investment manager operating across the Australian real estate market is seeking a Senior Funds Analyst to join its Funds Management team. This is a broad, commercially focused role at the intersection of funds management, investments, treasury and portfolio management, supporting capital management and investment decisions with modelling, analysis and insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial and cash flow models.
• Analyse portfolio funding requirements, liquidity and capital deployment.
• Assess the financial impact of new and existing investments.
• Work closely with investment teams on transaction activity and portfolio movements.
• Prepare portfolio analysis, forecasts and reporting.
• Support ongoing fund management and investment performance analysis.
• Translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve modelling, reporting and analytical processes.

Required profile

• Ideally experience in funds management, private markets, real estate investment, private credit or a similar investment environment.
• Experience analysing investments at a fund or portfolio level.
• Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
• CFA qualification or progress towards CFA is advantageous; private credit or real estate experience is particularly relevant but other investment backgrounds with strong modelling and commercial skills are encouraged.
