Senior Frontend Engineer – React.js

About the role

Shift is looking for a Senior Front End Engineer who loves building polished user interfaces with React and TypeScript. You will work closely with designers, product managers and back‑end engineers to deliver high‑quality features that improve how Australian SMEs interact with our financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive UI components using React and TypeScript.
• Integrate front‑end features with APIs and micro‑services, contributing to back‑end code when needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape new features based on user needs.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Champion best practices for code quality, testing, accessibility and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, primarily front‑end.
• Strong product instincts and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, autonomous mindset with ownership of delivered features.

Required skills

• Experience with APIs and micro‑services integration
• Back‑end development experience (any language)
• Familiarity with Azure, DevOps tooling, C#/.NET (optional)
