Senior Finance Analyst - Group FP&A

About the role

A large, complex Australian organisation is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join its Group Financial Planning & Analysis team in Sydney CBD, working in a hybrid arrangement. Reporting to the Group FP&A Manager, you will deliver planning, forecasting and financial analysis that supports Executive and Board-level decisions, partnering with Commercial Finance, Treasury and Corporate Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across the business
• Develop and maintain financial models across the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Produce Executive and Board-ready reports with commentary, insights and recommendations
• Analyse financial performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities and business drivers
• Partner with senior stakeholders on strategic and operational decisions
• Drive automation, process improvement and reporting efficiency
• Maintain governance, controls and data integrity, and improve modelling standards and reporting quality

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified finance professional with Group FP&A, corporate FP&A or large commercial finance experience
• Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Experience delivering Executive or Board-level reporting
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling (3-way modelling)
• Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting methods and business performance drivers
• Exposure to Oracle EPM, ERP or comparable enterprise planning systems is highly regarded
