Senior Estimator – Infrastructure

About the role

Arcadis is expanding its cost management team to support major transport infrastructure projects across Australia. The Senior Estimator will lead the preparation of detailed first‑principles cost estimates for heavy civil, road, rail, utilities and aviation works.

Key responsibilities

• Develop first‑principles cost estimates, cost plans and bills of quantities for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Lead technical reviews with designers, assess variations, take‑offs and cost proposals, and contribute to risk and value‑engineering workshops.
• Manage teams delivering bills of quantities and ensure alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Significant experience in construction cost estimating, preferably within the Australian infrastructure sector.
• Proven ability to work under tight and competing timescales while delivering accurate estimates.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Expert Estimation, CostX or similar digital take‑off tools.
• Knowledge of probabilistic risk assessments (P50/P90 contingencies) for infrastructure projects.
