Senior Drainage Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to join its Roads and Civil team in Perth. You will work on a variety of challenging infrastructure projects across Western Australia, delivering hydraulic and hydrological solutions from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, mentor and coach junior team members.
• Produce hydraulic designs and hydrological assessments for projects at all stages.
• Ensure compliance with local standards and regulations, liaising with authorities as required.
• Collaborate within a multi‑discipline global team to deliver high‑value outcomes for private and public sector clients.
• Prepare engineering designs, specifications, calculations and detailed reports.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification with post‑tertiary credentials.
• Extensive experience in drainage and waterways engineering, specifically within Western Australia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of local standards, regulations and authority processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12d.
• Experience using HEC‑RAS.
• Familiarity with DRAINS software.
• Ability to work with TUFLOW.
