Senior Cost Manager - Data Centres/MEP

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an MEP Senior Cost Manager to join its Real Estate team in the Brisbane office. The role leads MEP-specific deliverables within a larger project or leads direct MEP commissions such as asset upgrade works. It suits someone who is self-motivated, client-facing internally and externally, and able to manage several projects and clients at once.

Key responsibilities

• Commission management: assist on feasibility studies and write procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan to internal and external clients
• Tendering (single and two stage) and procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage
• Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
• Carry out cost checks and valuations on larger projects, and produce monthly post-contract cost reports presented to the client
• Contribute to value engineering and negotiate and agree final accounts
• Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages
• Lead a cost management team where appropriate

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
• Professionally qualified (RICS or AIQS) or working towards qualification
• Ability to manage and prioritise more than one project at a time
• Experience delivering MEP elements of work for clients
• Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below)
• Good negotiation skills and excellent communication with clients and teams
