Senior Consulting Engineer (Remote, Australia)

About the role

ClickHouse is expanding its Support Services team and seeks a Senior Consulting Engineer to provide consultative support to enterprise customers. The role blends hands‑on engineering, development assistance, and high‑tier support across consulting, engineering, and support functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project engineering and consulting activities, including design, architecture, integration, implementation, benchmarking, performance testing, reference architectures, sizing, migration, and tooling.
• Provide consultative support for strategic users, handling implementation, onboarding, production launches, and proof‑of‑concepts, while also managing L1‑L3 support cases when not on a project.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to influence the product roadmap and account plans.
• Create and maintain public and internal documentation, knowledge‑base articles, reference architectures, blogs, and benchmark results.
• Assist with hiring, mentoring new team members, and be on‑call for 24×7 global support, including up to 35% regional travel.

Required profile

• 5+ years in professional services, support, technical account management, engineering/SRE, or project management.
• 5+ years working with scalable, fault‑tolerant distributed database management systems.
• Proven experience leading large‑scope technical projects with multiple engineers.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑facing mindset.
