Senior Consultant – Risk Consulting

About the role

Join KPMG Australia’s Risk Consulting team in Melbourne as a Senior Consultant. You will work closely with boards and executive management across a diverse client base that includes start‑ups, ASX‑listed companies, local government, not‑for‑profit organisations and aged‑care providers.

Key responsibilities

• Support scoping, execution and delivery of internal audit, risk consulting and advisory engagements.
• Manage a portfolio of risk‑consulting and internal‑audit clients, providing strategic guidance on governance, risk management and control frameworks.
• Lead multidisciplinary risk projects covering financial controls, procurement, safety, technology risk, governance and operations.
• Lead and mentor delivery teams, maintaining strong client relationships throughout and after engagements.
• Provide technical direction, coaching and training to junior staff on engagements.
• Participate in go‑to‑market initiatives and business‑development activities.
