Senior Consultant – Project Planning

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is for two Senior Consultants who will join a specialist project planning and controls consultancy supporting major infrastructure, construction and engineering projects across Australia. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to planning, scheduling, earned value management and delay analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Prepare resource‑ and cost‑loaded schedules for tenders and live projects.
• Support project controls, reporting and earned value management.
• Assist with delay analysis and extension of time assessments.
• Monitor project performance against time, cost, resources and quality targets.
• Identify risks and provide planning insights to stakeholders.
• Participate in planning audits, reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients and senior consultants.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of local experience in planning, scheduling, project controls, engineering or construction.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and stakeholder management ability.
• Current driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (essential).
• MS Project and/or ASTA.
• Understanding of CPM scheduling and delay analysis principles.
