Senior Consultant / Project Manager

About the role

Roland Berger is launching its Australian office in Sydney and is looking for a Senior Consultant / Project Manager to join the Transaction & Investor Services team. The role will lead and manage projects for financial sponsor clients across the transaction lifecycle, from opportunity identification to post‑transaction value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of work packages and manage project teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Engage directly with client stakeholders at all levels, conducting interviews and group dialogues.
• Coach and develop junior consultants within project teams.
• Structure problems, analyse data and synthesize insights for client presentations.
• Perform market, customer and competitive analysis, as well as company financial and operational analysis.
• Build and deliver robust financial models and communicate findings effectively.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in strategy consulting or relevant transaction work, including buy‑side and sell‑side services.
• Proven delivery experience for financial sponsor clients such as private equity or infrastructure funds.
• Experience managing and delegating work to junior team members.
• Outstanding academic credentials from a leading institution.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or residency.
