Senior Consultant - Internal Audit (Risk Consulting)

About the role

EY's Risk Consulting service line is expanding its Internal Audit team with several new Senior Consultant roles. The team delivers internal audit services to clients across government, health, education and corporate sectors, including top 20 ASX listed entities, helping executives manage key risks so decisions can be made accurately and quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver internal audit engagements from planning through to reporting, covering compliance, financial, operational and strategic risk areas, while coaching and developing junior team members.
• Use risk and sector knowledge to assess clients' processes and controls, identify ways to mitigate risks and recommend improvements.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes and EY tools to improve audit approaches and client solutions.
• Travel as required to support client needs; roles may be adjusted to work flexibly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent qualification.
• Professional accreditations such as CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP or CIPP within one year of hire are considered favourably.
• Proven ability to deliver engagements end-to-end on time, with strong analytical skills, organisation and attention to detail.
• Sound understanding of business processes, risks and controls, including assessing control design and operating effectiveness.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset, and strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including writing clear audit reports and workpapers.
• Curious and committed to continuous learning.
