Senior Auditor - Cairns and Townsville

About the role

BDO (NTH QLD) is seeking proactive, highly motivated Senior Auditors to join its Cairns and Townsville offices through expressions of interest. Working closely with Partners and Managers, you will manage key parts of audit engagements, build strong client relationships and contribute to the quality, efficiency and continuous improvement of audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key components of audit engagements
• Foster strong client relationships
• Apply sound professional judgement and give technical guidance to others
• Support the development of a high-performing audit team

Required profile

• Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in a similar role
• Ability to think critically, challenge assumptions and solve problems
• Detail-oriented self-starter with professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to manage your own workflow and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Required skills

• Strong IT and computer skills, with quick adaptation to new technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
