Accounting High School Leaver Program – CA Fundamentals Pathway

About the role

BDO (NTH QLD) offers a paid, full-time work placement for high school graduates who want to earn while they learn their first professional accounting qualification. Participants work alongside experienced professionals on real client work and study online, progressing from CA Fundamentals to CA Foundations over about four years. Team placements are based on availability and discussed during recruitment; programme commencement is early 2027.

Required profile

• 18 years or older, having completed high school within the last three years (2024+)
• Year 12 Mathematics Standard 2 or equivalent
• Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of full rights to work in Australia
• Strong interest in accounting, business or commerce
• Curious, reliable and eager to learn in a professional environment
• Enjoys teamwork, with good communication and time management skills
