Senior Audit Lead – Finance, Treasury & External Reporting

About the role

The Senior Audit Lead – Finance, Treasury & External Reporting provides independent, third‑line assurance across capital adequacy, liquidity, climate and regulatory reporting risks. Reporting to the Audit Director, the role drives complex audit engagements and contributes to the overall audit plan for the Enterprise Finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑risk audit engagements covering capital adequacy, liquidity, funding, climate and statutory reporting.
• Manage audit delivery against timelines, budgets and resource plans, escalating risks as needed.
• Provide evidence‑based conclusions on governance, risk management and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with audit teams and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality audit outcomes.
• Contribute to annual audit planning and portfolio risk assessments.
• Support a strong speak‑up culture and follow‑up on audit issues.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, preferably within finance, treasury or external reporting functions.
• Deep understanding of capital adequacy, liquidity, climate and regulatory reporting risks.
• Proven ability to lead complex audit projects and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills to form evidence‑based conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting findings to senior leadership.
