About the role

Australian Family Lawyers, a specialist family law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Family Lawyer to join its growing team in Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast. The role suits someone who enjoys managing complex family law matters, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing strategically to a growing practice.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex parenting, property and financial matters
• Manage a diverse and sophisticated family law practice
• Conduct negotiations and litigation across a broad range of family law matters
• Develop and maintain strong client and referral relationships
• Provide strategic legal advice and practical solutions
• Mentor and support junior lawyers, assist with team development and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to business growth and practice development initiatives

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years post-admission experience (PAE) in Family Law
• Proven ability to independently manage complex family law matters
• Leadership and mentoring experience
• Commercial awareness, solutions-focused mindset and strong organisational and practice management capabilities

Required skills

• Strong advocacy, negotiation and litigation skills
• Excellent client relationship and communication abilities
