Senior Associate – Disputes and Property Litigation

About the role

This senior associate position sits within an established litigation practice focused on commercial and property disputes. You will provide advice, manage files and develop case strategies while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely advice and manage dispute files, drafting pleadings, legal correspondence and settlement documents.
• Appear in court for hearings, direct counsel, interview witnesses and brief experts.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences, and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals.
• Share knowledge with the team to enhance client experience and internal knowledge management.

Required profile

• 4+ years post‑qualification experience in property disputes or commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of court practices and procedures with excellent drafting accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Legal drafting of pleadings, advices and correspondence.
• Court appearance experience for directions, motions and trials.
• Experience in mediation, settlement conferences and alternative dispute resolution.
