Senior Analyst - Investment Operations

About the role

Kaizen Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of the Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC), a public authority that invests on behalf of the State of Victoria. This full-time Senior Analyst position reports to the Senior Manager, Investment Operations, within the Investment Operations and Performance team. It covers the relationship with Eagle Managed Services (EMS), provided by BNY, and data operations support for VFMC's data and analytics program.

Key responsibilities

• Daily oversight of EMS delivery.
• Data quality control and stewardship of investment data in VFMC's platforms (SimCorp Dimension, Eagle, Data Vault, Risk Manager).
• Identify, triage, track and resolve data issues, analyse trends and implement data quality measures.
• Ensure data availability in the relevant systems and hold vendors accountable for data delivery.
• Support Data & Advanced Analytics projects and other strategic initiatives.
• Own multiple data domains across the business, such as positions, security master and benchmarks.

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience in funds management, superannuation, custody or similar, including operational experience with investment platforms such as SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, ThinkFolio, Aladdin or Calypso.
• Tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, accounting or equivalent.
• Knowledge of securities pricing, valuation and market data (equities, fixed interest securities, unlisted assets, exchange traded and OTC derivatives).
• Strong stakeholder management with internal stakeholders and external service providers, and effective risk management capability.

Required skills

• Experience with third-party data and pricing vendors such as IDC, Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P, Markit or SimCorp (ideal).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Power BI experience is advantageous.
