Senior Analyst | Deal Manager - Commodities & Global Markets

About the role

Macquarie is hiring a Deal Manager Senior Analyst in Sydney for its Commodities and Global Markets Deal Management team, supporting the Fixed Income and Currencies lending businesses. The role works with global teams in Sydney, New York, Dublin and London, alongside Structuring, Origination and Legal teams on day-to-day lending activities. It is a permanent, full-time position requiring five days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lending lifecycle management in LoanIQ, including loan static creation, payment processing, client reporting and ongoing processing of interest, principal and fee payments
• Analyse and interpret credit agreements and client reporting to source data for covenant monitoring and communicate with external clients on operations matters
• Liaise with Financial Markets originators, structuring and sales staff to source client reporting and answer complex queries
• Identify control gaps and workflow and risk framework improvements, balancing project work with daily tasks
• Work with Group Treasury, Risk Management Group and Fixed Income and Currencies Central

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in financial services in a similar operational role in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or another quantitative discipline
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple transactions at once
• Strong stakeholder and client communication, attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong risk management approach and continuous improvement mindset

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• LoanIQ experience preferred; other loan processing systems such as Wall Street Office or ACBS also preferred
