Senior Administration Officer, Endoscopy

About the role

QEII Jubilee Hospital in Brisbane is looking for an experienced administration professional to lead the administrative team supporting its Endoscopy/Gastroenterology Department. This frontline support role coordinates daily operations, resources and workflow so that outpatient services run efficiently and patients receive excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations, resources and workflow of the Endoscopy/Gastroenterology administrative team
• Lead and support staff through roster management, performance development, recruitment and staff development
• Oversee patient referrals, waitlist management, clinic appointment scheduling and utilisation, with accurate reporting and compliance with policies and procedures
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications and maintain effective patient record systems
• Monitor key performance indicators and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Experience in staff management, including performance development, team coordination and supporting staff to achieve organisational outcomes
• Proactive, organised leader able to manage competing priorities and support a team
• Experience or knowledge of leading an administration team within an Endoscopy Unit is highly regarded

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and sound judgement
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of outpatient department operations and relevant information systems
