Senior Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The Senior Accounts Payable Officer ensures efficient and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments. Working within a finance team, you will partner with the Accounts Payable Team Leader and collaborate with procurement, operational teams and invoice authorisers to maintain strong vendor relationships and meet service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute invoices for approval, follow up with authorisers and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage supplier enquiries, obtain missing documentation and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
• Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Process EFT, BPAY and ad‑hoc payments accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate supplier master data and act as the primary point of contact for vendor queries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance administration.
• Commitment to HammondCare’s Christian mission and inclusive values.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Experience with Coupa procurement system.
• Experience with Epicor ERP system.
