Payroll Coordinator

About the role

The Payroll Coordinator provides high‑standard support to ensure smooth payroll processing across HammondCare Residential. This permanent, hybrid role can be based in St Leonards (Sydney) or selected Melbourne sites.

Key responsibilities

• Process fortnightly payroll accurately, including employee changes, leave, deductions and other transactions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date payroll records, handle terminations, ETPs, over‑payment recoveries and purchased leave.
• Prepare payroll reports and ad‑hoc reporting as required.
• Support compliance with legislation, Awards, PAYG tax, superannuation and salary sacrifice.
• Provide payroll guidance to employees and managers via Workday and UKG.
• Manage Salesforce payroll cases and resolve enquiries.
• Develop proficiency in UKG and other payroll systems, troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Minimum two years Australian payroll experience with end‑to‑end knowledge.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving and ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Commitment to HammondCare’s Christian mission and inclusive values.

Required skills

• UKG (Time & Attendance) and Workday.
• Salesforce case management.
• Chris21/iChris and KRONOS/KRONOS Dimensions (highly regarded).
