Security Monitoring Centre Operator

About the role

Sectrol is looking for a Security Monitoring Centre Operator in Ballarat to support its monitoring operations. The operator uses the Patriot monitoring system to interact professionally with monitored customers, installation technicians, programming engineers and monitoring centre partners, and helps coordinate alarm responses, installations, faults and servicing from the company's Ballarat head office. Call volume and workflow vary, so the role suits someone who is highly organised, calm under pressure and able to multitask.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the monitoring alarm system so that agreed actions are completed for each customer within the contracted timeframes
• Keep the monitoring system up to date with alarms, actions and customer details
• Communicate proactively with customers, internal resources and monitoring centre partners
• Ensure OH&S policies are understood and implemented
• Maintain proficiency in the Patriot monitoring system

Required profile

• Certificate III in Security Operations
• Valid current Victorian Private Security Licence including the sub-section for monitoring centre operators
• At least 12 months of security monitoring experience using Patriot systems
• Competent to advanced computer skills
