Security Officer – Gatehouse Management

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Security Officer to manage the gatehouse at its Mars site in Ballarat. This customer‑focused position involves daily interaction with contractors, truck drivers, couriers, employees and visitors while ensuring site access and security procedures are strictly followed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor access to the Mars site in line with entry and security protocols.
• Provide professional customer service to contractors, visitors, truck drivers and couriers.
• Receive deliveries, complete accurate data entry and maintain registers and spreadsheets.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems, reporting any incidents or concerns.
• Maintain site security, safety and compliance requirements at all times.

Required profile

• Current Victorian Security Licence.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Previous security experience, preferably in a gatehouse or access‑control environment.
• Experience using CCTV and security systems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
