School-Based Traineeship - Irrigation, Fairfield

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retailers, is offering a school-based traineeship through its Irrigation business in Fairfield. Partnered with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd, students work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations while working in a Reece branch and completing certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments. Year 10 students can apply all year round; Year 11 students can apply from January until the end of term 2.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service
• Complete all requirements of the certificate
• Process sales
• Manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Communicate with customers and staff
• Build product knowledge
• Follow up with customers
• Help keep the branch at a high standard

• Saturday availability; students work about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
