SAP Technical Architect - HR & Payroll

About the role

Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect for Payroll to lead the technical architecture, design and implementation of SAP Payroll solutions within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program. The role integrates SAP Payroll with SAP HCM/HR, SuccessFactors and S/4HANA, and works with business stakeholders, HR teams, payroll specialists, functional consultants and technical development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern the overall SAP Payroll technical architecture within the S/4HANA ecosystem, design scalable and secure payroll solutions and build architecture roadmaps for modernization and HR transformation.
• Design integrations between SAP Payroll, SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, S/4HANA, third-party payroll providers, time and attendance systems, finance and workforce management platforms, using SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, web services and OData.
• Lead payroll solution design during S/4HANA implementation and migration, support country localization, ensure compliance with statutory regulations, awards, taxation and superannuation, and define interfaces, reporting and reconciliation.
• Provide technical leadership to developers and integration teams, review specifications and custom enhancements, and drive best practices in ABAP, payroll schema, functions and rules, Fiori and workflow design.
• Develop migration strategies for payroll and HR master data, lead data conversion and validation, and support cutover and parallel run activities.
• Define payroll security architecture and role design, ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, and establish controls around sensitive employee and payroll information.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT and executive stakeholders, present architecture recommendations to steering committees and advise throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on SAP HR/HCM and Payroll.
• 5+ years in SAP Solution Architecture or Technical Architecture roles.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong understanding of SAP Payroll architecture and payroll processing frameworks.
