Sales Representative - 4x4 & Transmission

About the role

Genuine Parts Company is looking for an experienced Sales Representative for its NAPA Wetherill Park team. Reporting to the Channel Manager and working closely with NAPA Branch Managers, the Customer Development Managers drive sales growth, gross margin performance and customer success across South Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra. The role manages around 110 active and passive customer accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the territory
• Achieve sales and gross margin targets
• Build strong relationships through regular customer engagement and consultation
• Attend sales meetings, trade shows and training sessions
• Work with branch teams and internal stakeholders to deliver customer outcomes
• Champion a safety-first culture and demonstrate safe driving behaviour

Required profile

• Previous experience in account management, territory management or business development in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of transmission and/or 4x4 is highly regarded; candidates with strong experience in one area are supported to learn the others
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and growing customer relationships
• Experience in a KPI-driven environment
• Valid Australian driver's licence

The role requires regular travel throughout the territory and involves lifting, bending, climbing and safe driving activities.
