Sales Consultant – Automotive Retail

About the role

As a Genesis Sales Consultant you will facilitate the Genesis purchasing experience by providing a high level of service to our customers, whether in‑store, through Genesis to You, or at sponsored events. This role is based at the Genesis Sydney Showcase in North Strathfield and offers a pathway to grow your career in the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain relationships with potential clients, following up regularly to build rapport and increase sales opportunities.
• Convert enquiries (in‑store, web and phone) into leads by understanding customer needs and matching them to the most appropriate vehicle.
• Provide detailed information on vehicle features, advantages and benefits, and compare competitive models.
• Conduct test drives, demonstrate vehicle features and handle the handover of cars to customers.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up on all leads to convert them into sales transactions.
• Assist with paperwork, showroom setup, promotional displays and collaborate on marketing events and sales campaigns.
• Meet targets and KPIs set by management, including test drives, conversion rates, sold deals and deliveries.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience in automotive sales, preferably with luxury brands.
• Passion for the automotive industry and a strong focus on delivering excellent customer experiences.
• Target‑driven mindset with the ability to follow sales processes and procedures.
• Friendly, positive and professional approach to customers.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster across 7 days, including public holidays.
• Full valid Australian driver’s licence.
