Sales Assistant – Antique Jewellery & Watches

About the role

Kalmar Antiques is looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join its Sydney boutique. The role can start on a casual basis with the possibility of becoming full‑time, supporting customers across antique jewellery and vintage timepieces.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional in‑person, email, telephone and text‑message service to customers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge by liaising with jewellery valuers, gemmologists and watchmakers.
• Assist with jewellery and watch repair intake, valuation and digitising records for inventory management.
• Ensure boutique cleanliness, security procedures, and handle opening and closing duties.
• Support occasional in‑store workshops, events and act as a brand ambassador.

Required profile

• Experience in high‑end jewellery and/or watch sales; antique jewellery experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn about antique pieces and vintage watches.
• Flexible availability on weekends and during holiday periods.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Commitment to long‑term employment within a family‑run business.
