Roads and Highways Team Manager

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Roads and Highways Team Manager to lead its Queensland highways team. You will combine people leadership with strong client relationships, commercial oversight and project delivery to support major road and transport infrastructure projects across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a high‑performing team of highways professionals across Queensland.
• Strengthen AECOM’s relationship with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and other key transport clients.
• Oversee the team’s project portfolio, resources, budgets and financial performance.
• Support business development activities, including strategic pursuits, bids and client engagement.

Required profile

• Significant experience in the Queensland roads and highways sector, including proven work with TMR.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project performance, resources and budgets.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline.
