Road Worker, Plant Operator & MR Truck Driver – Multiple Vacancies

About the role

Transport for NSW is seeking motivated individuals for three on‑site positions – Road Worker, Plant Operator and MR Truck Driver – to support road maintenance and construction projects in the Yass region.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out road maintenance and emergency response activities.
• Operate plant equipment such as excavators, skid steers and rollers.
• Perform safety checks, basic maintenance and refuelling of machinery.
• Transport, load and secure materials to worksites using MR trucks.
• Assist with traffic control and work‑zone activities.
• Support labouring tasks and collaborate with crew members.
• Travel across the region and work outside normal hours when required.

Required profile

• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Valid Australian Driver Licence (minimum Class C); MR licence required for truck role.
• Demonstrated experience in road maintenance, civil construction or operating plant equipment.
• Willingness to obtain additional licences or tickets as needed.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
