Risk Specialist – Distribution

About the role

The Risk Specialist – Distribution will support the first‑line defence of non‑financial risk within the Business & Private Bank distribution segments. You will work closely with risk managers, business teams and cross‑divisional partners to embed risk management practices throughout the customer journey.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support robust first‑line non‑financial risk management across B&PB distribution segments.
• Interpret and apply Group Risk policies, standards and regulatory obligations in business language.
• Maintain accurate risk profiles, appetite statements, assessments and controls aligned with enterprise standards.
• Deliver actionable insights on risk issues, risk‑issue trends and the control environment.
• Support divisional attestations, regulatory change initiatives, KRIs, risk assessments and control testing.
• Partner with Group Risk, Line 2, Line 3, Centres of Excellence and frontline leaders to strengthen risk ownership.
• Coach business areas on risk‑management accountabilities, including change events, treatments and control design.
• Escalate ineffective frameworks or policies to appropriate risk owners or expertise centres.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of risk‑management frameworks and regulatory obligations for compliance and non‑financial risk themes.
• Ability to apply risk expertise in business and operational contexts.
• Strong collaboration skills with risk, business and cross‑functional teams.
