Risk in Change Manager

About the role

The Risk in Change Manager role is a 12‑month maximum term contract based in Sydney, working within the Line 1 Business Risk Hub. You will partner closely with Group Risk and Business Risk teams to assess and manage risk across strategic, operational and technology changes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk‑in‑change assessments for all programmes, identifying, prioritising and mitigating delivery and change risks.
• Embed risk practices into project and change frameworks and provide advisory support to senior leaders on risk impacts.
• Deliver concise risk reporting, monitor mitigation strategies and adjust them as needed.
• Enhance risk‑in‑change processes, embed best practice across delivery teams and support regulatory engagement with the RBA.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management, specifically in a line‑1 Risk in Change role.
• Proven success managing complex, technology‑enabled change initiatives in payments or financial services.
• Strong analytical capability, strategic judgement and attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive‑level communication skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in risk, finance, business or related discipline; professional certifications preferred.
