Retail Traineeship - Roma

About the role

The Retail Traineeship in Roma is a full-time, 24-month traineeship designed to give the successful applicant the chance to develop skills and knowledge through on-the-job experience and training with an employer, alongside a nationally recognised course delivered by a registered training organisation. It is open to applicants who want to start a career in retail.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by answering questions about products or services, helping customers choose items and processing sales transactions.
• Inform customers about new products and promotions.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments.
• Communicate clearly with customers about product features and benefits, and with co-workers to coordinate sales promotions and other store events.
• Complete timesheets correctly and on time.

Required profile

• A willingness to develop skills and knowledge.
• Ability to listen, follow instructions and ask for help when needed.
• Desire to contribute positively to the workplace by being punctual, interested and following workplace policies and procedures.
• Ability to act responsibly and safely at work.
• Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and the Golden West Apprenticeships team.
• Ability to complete the Training Plan within the allocated timeframe, including theory-based assessments and competency-based demonstrations of skills.
• Compliance with registration requirements such as the Further Education and Training Act and the Work Health and Safety Act.
