Assistant Manager - Electrical Wholesale

About the role

Rexel Australia, a global electrical wholesaler serving electricians, contractors and businesses, is looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager for its Roma branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the role supports the day-to-day running of the branch and delivers a high level of service to customers. It suits someone who balances leadership responsibilities with operational work and wants broad exposure across customer service, sales, operations, inventory and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day operation of the branch
• Deliver outstanding customer service to trade and retail customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers and suppliers
• Assist with coaching, supporting and leading branch team members
• Process sales, quotations, orders and enquiries accurately and efficiently
• Support stock control, receipting, replenishment and general warehouse duties
• Complete deliveries and ensure safe, efficient branch operations
• Promote a positive safety culture and maintain high housekeeping standards
• Help identify opportunities to grow sales and improve the customer experience

Required profile

• Experience in a customer service, sales, warehouse or trade-facing environment is ideal
• Leadership experience, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role
• A practical, proactive approach and willingness to get involved wherever needed
• Current driver's licence
• Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
• Electrical wholesale experience is highly regarded, but transferable experience is welcomed

• Ability to build trusted relationships and work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
