Retail Food Services Officer (Casual)

About the role

Metro North Health is looking for a Retail Food Services Officer in Brisbane North on a casual basis. The role supports the delivery of food services at the MNHHS Retail Services venues, under the supervision of the Retail Operations Coordinator, and contributes to quality improvement and values activities such as teamwork, high performance, respect, integrity and compassion.

Key responsibilities

• Barista duties: take and process coffee orders while maintaining quality and consistency, and keep machines clean and maintained
• Prepare and serve food items for sale
• Provide high-quality, customer-focused service at all service points and in all internal retail outlets
• Use the Point of Sale system to take orders, record sales, accept cash and EFTPOS payments, give change and handle refunds
• Work in a busy environment, alone or in a team, prioritising tasks and managing time independently
• Display product knowledge, helping customers choose menu items and suggesting suitable accompaniments or alternatives
