Retail Engineering Technician

About the role

Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) is looking for an experienced Technician to join its Retail Engineering team on a permanent full-time basis. You will maintain, support and repair technology services across the retail agency network and racetracks, including wagering terminals, communications infrastructure, cabling and associated equipment, providing practical, customer-focused technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to service requests for wagering terminals, hardware, software and communications equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and data communications issues.
• Install, configure, repair, replace and upgrade terminals, peripherals, cabling and communications equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, diagnostics and equipment testing across metropolitan and regional locations.
• Maintain accurate asset, service, spare parts and stock records.
• Communicate with retail agencies, racecourses and internal stakeholders about faults, planned work and service restoration.

Required profile

• Experience repairing and maintaining POS hardware, business equipment, communications equipment or similar.
• Experience installing and maintaining data communications equipment, cabling and associated devices.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and technical repair skills.
• Experience supporting Windows-based devices and basic Microsoft 365 applications.
• Current C class driver's licence.
• A relevant trade certificate or technical qualification is preferred; a limited electrical licence is desirable.
