Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our high‑volume Guzman y Gomez location in the Pavilions precinct on the Gold Coast. This full‑time, hands‑on role oversees breakfast to late‑night service across dine‑in, takeaway, app, and delivery platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Set and review stock, par, and preparation levels; maintain accurate inventory and waste records.
• Enforce service standards for speed, order accuracy, food quality, and cleanliness across all channels.
• Drive uptake of the GYG app, online ordering, and loyalty program; roll out national marketing campaigns and create local plans.
• Work the floor during peak periods, advise customers on menu items, dietary requirements, and allergens.
• Oversee cash handling, till reconciliations, daily banking, and prepare sales, labour, and stock reports.
• Recruit, select, onboard, and train crew, shift supervisors, and kitchen staff; build rosters and manage performance.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety requirements, including temperature and allergen controls.

Required profile

• Diploma in retail, hospitality or business management, or 3+ years relevant management experience.
• Prior leadership experience in a busy, high‑volume hospitality environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to motivate a young team.
• Hands‑on leader with a positive, can‑do attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Inventory and stock management proficiency.
