Restaurant Manager - Fine Dining

About the role

Kingsford The Barossa, a 225-acre luxury retreat in the Barossa Valley about 45 minutes from Adelaide, is looking for a passionate Restaurant Manager. The property was recently redeveloped and offers an exclusive 16-suite experience alongside a new lodge, and its restaurant is led by Culinary Director Jake Kellie.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised guest experiences in line with Salter Brothers Hospitality standards
• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team of hospitality professionals
• Foster a positive, energetic team culture and coach the team to uphold service excellence
• Build relationships with guests and the local community to drive loyalty and repeat visitation
• Recommend food, beverage and curated experiences to enhance the guest experience
• Manage labour, beverage costs and overall operations to drive commercial performance

Required profile

• 2-3 years' experience in a management role in a fine dining, high-end or hatted restaurant
• Genuine passion for food and wine and an engaging approach to customer service
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
• Proven financial acumen and ability to manage costs and drive profitability

Required skills

• Strong wine knowledge and interest in building a compelling wine list
• Back-of-house knowledge including stock control, COGs and rostering
