Residential Support Worker - Jalbingan

About the role

Jalbingan supports women and children experiencing family and domestic violence (FDV) and homelessness. The Residential Support Worker helps create safe, welcoming and supportive environments where they can access the care and support they need, providing practical and emotional support, building connection and consistency and empowering them as they work towards safety, healing and rebuilding their lives. Each full-time role offers 76 hours per fortnight, with day, afternoon and overnight shifts available.

Required profile

• Located in Broome; caring, calm and resilient, able to build respectful relationships and stay grounded when things do not go to plan
• Ability to work sensitively with women and children experiencing trauma, vulnerability or complex needs
• Experience supporting people experiencing trauma, FDV or complex needs
• Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent (desirable)
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current driver's licence
• National Police Clearance obtained within the last six months
