Resident Lifestyle Officer

About the role

Aegis Alfred Carson, a residential aged care facility in Claremont, is looking for a Resident Lifestyle Officer. The role centres on delivering enjoyable lifestyle programs and supporting residents' wellbeing, with a focus on excellent customer service. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive, meaningful and enjoyable lifestyle programs.
• Coordinate, supervise and take part in the daily delivery of lifestyle and therapy programs under the direction of the Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist.
• Take part in the admission process: promote lifestyle programs, discuss dining options and food preferences with new residents, help them settle into their room and orient them to the facility.
• Uphold the Excellence in Dining principles and act as the dining services liaison so that individualised resident requests are met.
• Manage lifestyle programs such as intergenerational activities, activity bookings and bus trips.
• Organise resident and relative meetings and coordinate volunteers.
• Attend dining services regularly and be available to answer residents' and families' queries as required.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in working with older people.
• Experience in therapy (essential).
• Experience in aged care (desirable) and in hospitality (desirable).
• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent or higher, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience coordinating enjoyable lifestyle programs in aged care.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
