Senior Cleaner – Aged Care Dining and Cleaning

About the role

Aegis Alfred Carson, a residential aged care home in Claremont, is looking for a reliable Senior Cleaner for a permanent part-time position, Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 2:30pm. The role supports the dining and cleaning needs of residents in a high-quality, person-centred care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare residents' meals according to dietary and care plans and developed menus.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility in line with infection control standards and organisational policies.
• Ensure correct food handling techniques are followed.
• Assist with meal service so residents enjoy a good dining experience.
• Clean resident and communal areas to a high standard.
• Support the hospitality team to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience as a senior in a similar kitchen hand, cleaning or hospitality role, preferably in healthcare or aged care.
• Experience in food preparation and cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of food safety and infection control principles.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance.
• Enjoys working with the elderly; can work independently and as part of a team; reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent time management and a positive, professional attitude.
