Research & Practice Development Officer

About the role

The Research & Practice Development Officer will support evidence‑informed practice within Reconnexion, a specialist service for individuals experiencing benzodiazepine dependency. You will translate emerging research into practical resources, contribute to evaluation projects and help improve service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review relevant research, evidence and sector developments.
• Translate findings into resources, recommendations and tools for service delivery.
• Support program evaluation, quality improvement and service development initiatives.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data to inform decision‑making and reporting.
• Prepare reports, presentations and documentation for diverse audiences.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders, sector partners and professional networks.

Required profile

• Experience in research, evaluation, quality improvement or practice development.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with data analysis or reporting systems.
