Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

IPAR is seeking a qualified Rehabilitation Consultant to join its occupational rehabilitation team in Hobart. You will work with injured workers, employers and health professionals to facilitate safe and sustainable return‑to‑work outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants for administrative tasks.
• Apply clinical expertise to improve return‑to‑work outcomes and develop injury‑prevention and workplace education programs.
• Collaborate with employers, medical and allied health professionals across workers compensation, third‑party, life insurance, Comcare and veteran schemes.
• Prepare high‑quality reports with findings, recommendations and clinical reasoning.
• Deliver innovative services such as the virtual‑reality based “Re‑thinking Recovery” pain education program.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Exercise Physiology or Occupational Therapy.
• Full professional registration with AHPRA or accreditation with ESSA (or eligibility to obtain).
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic approach with a client‑focused mindset.
• Current driver’s licence, own car and comprehensive insurance.
