Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

Join Acumen Health, part of the APM Group, to support Australian Defence Force personnel recovering from physical or psychological injury. You will work within a multidisciplinary team at Lavarack Barracks, delivering holistic rehabilitation and helping service members become fully fit for duty.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments such as functional capacity evaluations, worksite and ergonomic assessments, and activities of daily living assessments.
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with injured employees, medical specialists and allied health professionals.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Track service‑delivery outcomes against KPIs, focusing on person‑centred results rather than billable hours.

Required profile

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW.
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work.
• Australian citizenship and at least one year of clinical experience in the chosen profession.
• Ability to engage effectively within multidisciplinary teams and a passion for helping people rehabilitate.
