About the role

Join Early Start Australia’s allied health team at the Strathpine clinic, delivering assessment, counselling and therapy to children, young people and families across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct new client assessments using referrals, questionnaires and a range of standardised tools (e.g., WPPSI, WISC, WRAT, WRAML, ADOS, MIGDAS).
• Provide timely feedback, issue reports within two weeks, and deliver client‑centred therapy across clinic, home, school and community settings.
• Manage a multidisciplinary caseload, develop and adjust individualised therapy programs, and collaborate with allied health professionals.
• Maintain privacy, confidentiality and evidence‑based practice while aligning therapy plans with funding sources such as NDIS.

Required profile

• Registered with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Current Working with Children Check (or equivalent vulnerable‑people registration), National Police Check and First Aid certification.
• Demonstrated experience in solution‑focused therapy, early intervention and engaging with children, families and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organisational and report‑writing skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in administering and interpreting WPPSI, WISC, WRAT, WRAML, ADOS and MIGDAS assessments.
• Experience developing measurable, goal‑based therapy plans and delivering interventions in various settings.
