Registered Nurse – Paediatric Inpatient Unit

About the role

Join the Children’s Inpatient Unit at Logan Hospital to provide safe, compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care to children and young people aged 0‑16 years. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, developing your paediatric nursing skills while contributing to positive outcomes for patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, person‑centred nursing care across a range of paediatric medical and surgical presentations.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in partnership with children, families and the broader healthcare team.
• Prioritise care using clinical judgement, critical thinking and time‑management skills, responding to changing clinical needs.
• Contribute to quality improvement, evidence‑based practice, education and a positive team culture.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
• Demonstrated clinical nursing skills, sound clinical judgement and a commitment to person‑centred care.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to professional development, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement and lifelong learning.
