About the role

Join Rockhampton Hospital’s Special Care Nursery as a Registered Nurse delivering high‑quality, family‑integrated neonatal care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for newborns and their families.
• Monitor and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition.
• Support patient and family education and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Develop clinical leadership and enhance neonatal nursing capability.

Required profile

• Compassionate Registered Nurse committed to safe, high‑quality neonatal care.
• Strong clinical skills, effective communication and ability to build respectful relationships.
• Evidence‑based practice mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning.
• Current AHPRA registration and practising certificate.
• At least two years of neonatal nursing experience or working towards a relevant qualification.
