Registered Nurse - Renal Medicine, Dialysis, Endocrinology and Rheumatology

About the role

Sydney Local Health District is recruiting a permanent full-time Registered Nurse (38 hours per week) for Unit 6E1 at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), one of Australia's leading tertiary and quaternary teaching and research hospitals. Unit 6E1 is a friendly, supportive and collaborative team caring for patients across Renal Medicine, Rheumatology, Immunology and Endocrinology, offering the chance to work across both the inpatient ward and the inpatient renal dialysis unit.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, person-centred and evidence-based nursing care, working with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best health outcomes.
• Work a rotating roster of 8-hour shifts.
• Develop clinical knowledge and skills across a range of medical specialties, with the possibility of training in haemodialysis for nurses wishing to expand their renal nursing skills.

Required profile

• Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Effective interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work a rotating roster of 8-hour shifts.
• Completion of a New Graduate Program and/or acute hospital experience is beneficial.
