About the role

Join Healthcare Australia as an AOD Registered Nurse at the Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre, providing person‑centred care to individuals with substance‑use challenges. The role offers a Monday‑Friday, day‑only schedule with a $4,000 sign‑on bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored care plans for clients with drug and alcohol‑related needs.
• Administer medications safely, including detoxification protocols, and provide education on harm reduction and relapse prevention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, security staff, and external services.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Either a postgraduate qualification in AOD with at least 5 years specialist experience, or 7 years specialist AOD nursing experience.

Required skills

• Medication administration and detoxification protocol knowledge.
• Strong clinical assessment and care‑plan development abilities.
