Regional Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure (Defence)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Civil & Infrastructure team delivering Defence‑related civil infrastructure projects near Whyalla, South Australia. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will own the delivery of complex projects from planning through to completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Drive safety, quality and environmental performance across all project activities.
- Identify and manage project risks while implementing practical solutions.
- Prepare project reports, forecasts and progress updates for senior leadership.
- Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel, supporting the development of high‑performing teams.
Required profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.
- Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and contract administration.
- Proven experience managing procurement, subcontractors and project planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and quality systems.
- Current White Card and Driver’s Licence.
- National Police Clearance.
